Portfolio: Restoration of Chapel Hill Mansion
This is the Chapel Hill Mansion in Riverdale, New York. Built in 1928, it sits on the highest pinnicle in New York City. Hank Johnson and his associate, Jimmy Leonard restored the stone work in 1988-'89. They restored over 7000 square feet of the split-face granite on the house, and restored the limestone and granite front grand entryway. Hank matched doorway keystones throughout the mansion, along with several hundred square feet of added stone work in and above the glass atrium in the rear section of this magnificent New York City Landmark.
